Although Obama like to claim that jobs were added under his administration, but that’s only half of the story.
According to an Ivy League study conducted by Harvard and Princeton, 94 percent of the 10 million jobs that were “created” under Obama were only temporary positions.
These jobs were only part-time or contract positions in several different fields.
This research was conducted by Lawrence Katz (Harvard) and Alan Krueger (Princeton), both economists, who showed that the amount of Americans working these kinds of jobs increased from 10.7 percent to 15.8 percent during Obama’s presidency.
And females in the workforce were the ones who suffering the most in Obama’s economy, as work in female dominated fields like education and medicine declined significantly during the Democrat’s administration.
Krueger, who was a former White House Council of Economic Advisers chairman, was shocked at this discovery. Full time work, traditionally from 9 am to 5 pm, just seemed to disappear in every demographic. Even when the study looked at online jobs, most were part-time.
With Obama in the White House, there were one million fewer workers than there were before the Great Recession. And yet Obama brags that he’s brought thousands of jobs to Americans? What information is he basing this claim on?
Obama believes that his administration was a net positive for workers, and certainly doesn’t mind tooting his own horn. Yet many Americans are jobless and even homeless.
“Since I signed Obamacare into law (in 2010), our businesses have added more than 15 million new jobs,” Obama proudly claimed in his farewell press conference last Friday. And not only is this not true, when put into context, but Obamacare isn’t helping the situation any.
Obama has done nothing but disappoint the American people for these past eight years. Obama made a ton of false promises about the policy, and now it is doing much the opposite of what he thought it would.
And the Democrats wonder why we elected a Republican this time around. Donald Trump is actually going to bring real jobs to the American people.
